![]() Now, I can buy that the E-store protection is part of the Web Shield and is simply included and active when that shield is turned on. So this Fake E-store protection is indeed something that isn't visible or interactive. There are also no extensions or add-ons added to Chrome or any other browser (something Avast has done in the past). All the settings in the core shields are the same as they previously were. The Fake E-store Protection indeed does not appear to be its own standalone feature with its own settings, but there aren't even any settings contained in any of the shields that have to do with the Fake E-store protection. But it provides peace of mind and settles that curiosity. ![]() I was curious to see if it would make a difference with the results i'm about to summarize, but it didn't so that was a waste of 20 or so minutes. First I did it through the UI Update function like usual, and then again with a clean install.
